Wild Nature and Trails

Nature here is generous and surprising. Lake Tenno, with its emerald waters, looks like something out of a fairy tale. Reachable in a few minutes, it is surrounded by woods and mountains reflected in its perfect surface. The medieval village of Canale di Tenno, perched on the hill, is a stone jewel with art galleries, artisan shops and a small square where time seems to have stopped.

For trekking lovers, the Rilke Promenade is a classic: a panoramic path suspended above the lake, where the Bohemian poet loved to walk seeking inspiration. The San Pietro Refuge, reachable with a one-hour walk, offers breathtaking views of Lake Tenno from above.

The Arco Arboretum is a corner of botanical paradise: Mediterranean and exotic plants coexist thanks to the unique microclimate. The Varone Waterfalls, a few kilometers away, are a spectacle of nature – a jet of water plunging 100 meters into a cave carved into the rock.

A Jewel Among Mountains

Lake Garda

Just minutes from Casa Prabi opens the spectacle of Lake Garda, Italy's largest lake. Its crystal clear waters, changing color from turquoise to deep blue depending on the light, stretch for over 50 kilometers between Trentino, Lombardy and Veneto.

The northern part of the lake, where we are located, is characterized by a unique climate: regular winds – the Ora in the morning and the Peler in the afternoon – create perfect conditions for sailing and windsurfing. Mountains plunge directly into the water, creating dramatic and evocative scenarios.

Riva del Garda, the pearl of the north, is a perfect mix of Venetian history and Central European atmosphere. Its lakefront, with palms and oleanders, is ideal for sunset walks. The weekly market, rich in local products, is an experience not to be missed.

The World Climbing Capital

Climbing in Arco

Arco is internationally recognized as the world capital of sport climbing. The limestone rock walls surrounding the city offer over 3,000 climbing routes, from beginner ones to extreme challenges for professionals. The crag has been the scene of world competitions and hosts the Rock Master every year, one of the most prestigious climbing events in the world.

The mild climate all year round makes it possible to climb in every season. The main crags – Massone, Nago, Padaro, and the famous Colodri wall – are just minutes from Casa Prabi. Each wall has unique characteristics: from technical slabs to overhanging sport routes, from Bouldering to multi-pitch routes.

Culinary Tradition Between Land and Lake

Authentic Flavors

Garda Trentino cuisine is a journey between land and lake, between alpine tradition and Mediterranean influences. Arco's carne salada, a Slow Food presidium, is a unique specialty: beef marinated with aromatic herbs, served raw in thin slices or seared with rocket and grana cheese.

Historic center restaurants serve typical dishes like canederli in broth, strangolapreti with butter and sage, and fresh lake fish. Family trattorias hide recipes handed down for generations, while modern venues reinterpret tradition with creativity.

Weekly markets are an explosion of colors and scents: mountain cheeses, artisan cured meats, mountain honey, Garda extra virgin olive oil. During the Garda Jazz Festival in summer, live music notes mix with local dish flavors among olive groves – a complete sensory experience.

Centuries of History and Tradition

Cultural and Architectural Heritage

Arco Castle dominates the city from atop its cliff. Built in the 12th century, it preserves rare 14th-century frescoes depicting courtly and chivalrous scenes. The climb to the castle offers spectacular panoramas of the lake and valley, while internal gardens host rare plants thanks to the particular microclimate.

The Collegiate Church of the Assumption, in the heart of the historic center, is a baroque jewel with works of art from the Venetian school. Not far away, the Municipal Casino – today a cultural center – was built in the early 20th century when Arco was a destination for European aristocratic tourism.

In Riva del Garda, the medieval Rocca houses the Alto Garda Museum with archaeological findings telling millennia of history. The MAG – Alto Garda Museum – presents collections from prehistory to Roman times, with a section dedicated to contemporary art. The Apponale Tower, symbol of the city, offers a 360-degree view of the lake.

The area's medieval villages are authentic treasures: Canale di Tenno with its stone houses and art galleries, Drena with its fortress, Ville del Monte with traditional rural architecture. Each village preserves ancient artisan traditions, from weavers to ceramicists.
